Nami Tamaki almost always wears contacts and sometimes glasses. When she was auditioning before her debut, she took her contacts out so she couldn't see people's faces because she was so nervous!
The thing that surprised Nami Tamaki the most when she first came to America was everyone being tall!

*A general "stereotypical" belief in Japan I believe* Nami thought that Black people wear afros and walked around with huge boom boxes. She also thought that every American (including school teachers especially) have a gun. (From an interview in America. She was corrected in this.)
